Google Labs
2024—today
↳Google Labs works within the company on AI experiments, offering the public a chance to explore the latest experimental AI products.
With a diverse portfolio of products, such as NotebookLM, the team works closely with Google DeepMind and builds new experiences that puts the latest AI products in the hands of the public.
I led the design of Pomelli, a marketing tool for small business owners, from concept through launch. Check it out at labs.google.
Chrome
2019—2024
Chrome is the most popular browser in the world, with over 2.5B active users.
The team works on desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS), Android, and iOS versions of the browser. Chrome is a valuable property of Google, serving as the gateway to the search engine.

Motion
↳As the lead motion designer, I collaborated with designers across all platforms to build animations for a wide range of projects.

Tab Groups
UX owner
2021—2023
↳As a product designer, I was the owner for Tab Groups, which brings the ability to organize tabs to declutter the tab strip area.

Material 3 for Chrome
Color owner; designer
2022—2023
↳I was brought in from the beginning to explore and investigate a complete revamp of the design system, which included typography, color, and shape. As the project progressed, I took ownership of the color system.
↳Along with bringing Material 3 colors to Chrome, we overhauled the way theming worked in Chrome. Making text more legible and accessible, and allowing for more user control by enabling light and dark mode for any color.

Design Research
↳There are variations of Chrome from the early days of Material You, aiming to re-imagine Chrome and to get a sense of the color story. I was asked to participate in various exploration projects that ran the gamut from updating the visual story to re-thinking core browser functionality.
FAUX (Future Android UX)
2018—2019
FAUX is a horizontal, future oriented team, which reaches across the Android ecosystem of smartphones, TVs, cars, laptops, wearables, etc.
We call it design strategy because it focuses on transforming research into bold new ideas that guide a long-term vision.

Project Seamless
↳Addresses the need to rethink device sharing and communal experiences. The primary goal of Project Seamless was to explore alternative ways of thinking about digital identity.

Project Primavera
↳Initiated a cross-disciplinary project to combine design thinking with UX research. Primavera had two phases: the first was an interview based analysis of the internal Pixel stakeholders. The second phase was the consumer research and synthesis of findings.
↳The research produced a framework that empowered the design process to make better decisions that aligned with what we heard from consumers. Another goal was to create a holistic perspective across marketing, design, engineering, and PM about the product design process.
VISMO
Ambient space concept
↳VISMO is a portmanteau of “visual” and “motion”. In collaboration with multinational creative agency B-Reel, we conducted design research and experimentation for the ambient screen.
Pixel & Android OS
2014—2018
At Android, I was the lead motion designer on the Pixel phone and Android OS, a platform that serves over 2 billion people globally. I’ve received 15 patents for my design work (such as this public one: 820852S1).
Ambient Screen
UX Motion lead
Android O, P
2017—2018
↳The ambient screen was a direct result of new display technology and I was asked to explore how it could be used by Android. Context and environment factors informed how the design should be quiet, and respectful of the user’s attention. By emphasizing visual continuity, changes of state feel more fluid and less abrupt.
